It’s time to move the frame and I thought I’d share a full size update.
I can now start working down into the bottom left corner.
So exciting
From now on I will only be sharing updates of Turandot showing the gap I have left to stitch. I only have six sheets of chart pages remaining now, and some of those are already half done.
(click all images to enlarge)
I’d love to share a full size image showing the gap in relation to the whole piece, but I vowed not to share another full size picture until she was completed. I don’t see that being too many months away now 🙂
Until she’s out again I will be working my magic on Teddy Stocking.
I thought I’d also show off my Nene Thomas/ Steven Plagman books, together. Book two arrived only yesterday.
If you are after them you can get them as Kindle books from Amazon.com.
Book One: Powerborn is only $7.00 and has full colour images as does Book Two which is only $9.99
Don’t have a Kindle? Don’t worry. You can download the free Kindle app from Amazon and read them on your computer, smart phone, tablet…. etc
You can also buy them from Nene’s site, although there is very limited stock of book one now.
There are also plans for the series to be released as paperbacks in the future.
It’s easier to see what it is now.
Just ignore the white horizontal line that is running through the eye. That’s just the clothes airer that I sat it on to take the photo showing through.
I ‘intend’ to work on this now until the next page of the Freebie comes out, but I do have Tim’s piece here beside me to work on when he heads out so I might put an hour or two into that during the week, who knows.
I received some more exciting mail yesterday. My Nene 2012 Calendar arrived.
It will be exciting having that on the wall, particularly when you consider that when the book arrives I will know exactly what the characters look like as they are the images use in this calendar.
Along with the calendar I got some mini Lithograph prints and at 5×7 they are not exactly what I would call mini. I just need to get myself a few frames for these now.
With the snow we’ve had they’ve cancelled the mail deliveries but it would appear that the mail is now getting through.
There were a couple of surprises today.
I received by Selina Fenech book “Memory’s Wake” and my prize from Sara Butcher Burrier
The detail in my prize “button” is astounding. I work with small detail stitching my HAED but the little button has such delicate detail that I can only assume a magnifying glass had to be involved.
I haven’t had a chance to get into the book, physical copy or ebook (which comes with illustrations now) as I have another book on the go so I can’t tell you what I think. I am sure it’s great if the preview chapter I read was anything to go by.
While we’re on the subject of books I am allowed to order another book. This one will be a little expensive but I think fully worth it as both Tim and I will read this one. It’s the long awaited Nene Thomas and Steven C. Plagman collaboration, Book one of Zarryiostrom, Powerborn.
You can read the first few chapters on Nene’s website HERE
No stitching update today but I can say that I am only a few hundreds stitches off finishing page one of Catfish. Meow
